Easter Fun for Seniors at Melody Living

​Our second annual Easter Egg Hunt was a huge hit!
Lake in the Hills community members brought their
little bunnies n’ baskets to our luxury senior living
community for a morning of festive fun. Many of
the attendees were grandchildren or
great-grandchildren of residents. Together they
enjoyed visiting the Easter Bunny, games, music
and an egg hunt. Our organizers planned several
different age-grouped egg hunts and each egg was
stuffed with something special. We can’t wait to
continue the Egg Hunt tradition in years to come.

Easter Bunny Visits
The Easter Bunny has been making special appearances in our community throughout the month of April. Each resident will have the opportunity to spend time with the Easter Bunny before Easter Sunday. They’ll have plenty of time for a great photo.
The visits are designed to help residents get in the spirit of the season and to simply put a smile on their face. Our senior living community also has an egg coloring event planned. Residents will join together Friday, April 15 and color eggs to take home. Pink, purple, yellow, green, and orange - we can’t wait to see the eggs that are created. Our assisted living community will also join together for spiritual reflections, the time together promotes both spiritual and social wellness.

​Easter Sunday Celebrations
Our Easter Celebrations culminate on Sunday, April 17. Our assisted living community is welcome to attend a traditional Catholic Mass at 10 a.m. We’ll also read scriptures together that evening at 4 p.m. For a little mid-day fun, we’ve also got a game of Easter Jeopardy planned.
Our memory care community residents can also attend a noon church service on Easter Sunday. We’ve also got an “Ice Cream Sunday” event planned for the afternoon - we’re serving up ice cream sandwiches. They are the perfect traditional sweet treat. Our senior living community will also enjoy an Easter Dinner with traditional favorites including locally harvested produce, and delicious desserts.
