 We loved celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this week with plenty of fun activities for our assisted living and memory care residents. The week has started off with an interactive Leprechaun race, a virtual tour to Ireland, clothing themes like Wear the Irish Flag colors, Wear Something Lucky and of course, Wear Something Green! We have also incorporated a bit of Irish fun for our senior residents by setting up an Irish Soda Bread baking tutorial, St. Patrick’s Day BINGO, crafts, an Irish Dance Performance and to top it all off, a St. Patrick’s Day Party to celebrate all that we have to feel lucky for. Each month, we love getting together with our senior living community members to ensure that they can enjoy new and fun opportunities and experiences to create a Life in Harmony. One of the best parts about our community events calendar is that we work directly with the residents to determine what events they would be most interested in and then we make those happen!  While we do love holidays, there’s always something engaging to enjoy year-round at Melody Living Lake in the Hills. Whether we’re celebrating a resident or staff member’s birthday or relaxing each Wednesday with our Wine of the Week Club over delicious pours, we truly do have something for everyone to enjoy.
Regularly offering activities and experiences that appeal to all of our residents is critical for ensuring that they feel at home, inspired and engaged in a way that resonates with their own unique abilities. There are activities throughout each day that offer fun things to do for residents that may resonate with more internally-focused activities and those that love socializing. Whatever their desire, we work every single day to ensure that each resident has something to enjoy.
