Whether you’re tasting traditional dishes from Ireland and Iceland, participating in creative projects, or enjoying our grand Christmas Party, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

November 26 at 2:30 PM - National Cake Day Cake Walk 
Calling all dessert lovers! To celebrate National Cake Day, residents are invited to bring their favorite cake or dessert for an afternoon Cake Walk. This sweet event is a fun way to showcase your favorite recipes and discover new ones from fellow residents. Our culinary team will also prepare a selection of delicious desserts to ensure everyone has something to savor. So, whether you’re baking a family favorite or just joining to sample the treats, this cake walk is a delightful way to celebrate the sweetness of life!

November 21 at 2:30 - Around the World: A Taste of Ireland
Our Around the World series continues with a culinary journey to Ireland! Residents are invited to enjoy a taste of Ireland through three traditional Irish dishes carefully prepared by our chef. Alongside the tasting, we’ll have an educational presentation on Irish culture and history, providing an enriching experience that’s both delicious and informative. This event is a fantastic opportunity to explore the flavors and heritage of Ireland from the comfort of Melody Living.

December 5 at 2:30 - International Volunteer Day: Flower Arrangement Class
In honor of International Volunteer Day, residents will have the opportunity to create beautiful flower arrangements to give as gifts to our memory care residents. This hands-on flower arrangement class encourages creativity while fostering a sense of giving back. Following the activity, we’ll host a social hour with light refreshments, celebrating the spirit of volunteering and the joy of community connections. Join us in spreading kindness and beauty throughout Melody Living!

December 19 at 2:30 - Around the World: A Taste of Iceland 
Our global journey continues with A Taste of Iceland! Residents will have the chance to sample three unique Icelandic dishes prepared by our chef and enjoy an educational presentation about Iceland’s history, geography, and culture. From hearty traditional dishes to interesting cultural insights, this event is sure to be both flavorful and enlightening. Don’t miss this chance to explore a new part of the world with your fellow residents.

December 21 - Melody Living Christmas Party (All Day)
Our annual Melody Living Christmas Party is set to be a festive celebration filled with music, delicious food, and holiday cheer. Here’s the schedule for the day’s events:

11:00 AM: First Musical Showing of “Funny Bunny”  
Kick off the day with a live performance of Funny Bunny, a cheerful musical to get everyone in the holiday spirit.

12:00 PM - 1:30 PM: Holiday Lunch  
Our culinary team will present a specially crafted holiday lunch, with flavors to celebrate the season.

3:00 PM: Second Musical Showing of “Funny Bunny”  
For those who couldn’t attend the morning showing or who want to enjoy it again, we’ll have an encore performance in the afternoon.

5:00 PM: Festive Dinner Service  
Gather for a special holiday dinner with family and friends. Our chef will prepare a delicious dinner menu featuring traditional holiday favorites and exciting seasonal dishes.

6:00 PM: Dessert Bar, Violin Concert, and Santa’s Visit  
Cap off the night with a variety of festive treats from our dessert bar, live violin music, and a special visit from Santa in our bistro. It’s the perfect way to end a day full of holiday magic.

Tickets for non-residents are available at $25 for lunch and $35 for dinner, so feel free to invite family and friends to share in this special day.
